There are many career opportunities in cybersecurity, particularly for young people. The experts at The Job Forum discussed the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals due in part to increasing digitalization and the impact of AI.

Sahil Chadha of Atomic Machines, Head of Security, and managing Security, Compliance and a Privacy Leader and Rolf Wilmovsky, with 24By7, who is the Client Support Professional, supporting small and mid-sized businesses for their IT and Cybersecurity needs.
The experts at this event highlighted the importance of understanding network security, identity and access management, and application security. The discussion covered the seriousness of cybercrime, the evolution of ransomware, and the need for continuous learning and adaptation in the field.
The evolving nature of cybersecurity threats they explained, is because cybercrime is often coordinated by foreign governments, and this is driving demand for Cybersecurity experts.
The discussion focused on career opportunities in cybersecurity, emphasizing also the high demand for compliance analysts and dev/ sec /ops roles due to post-COVID economic challenges. Compliance roles are particularly crucial for smaller startups lacking dedicated security teams.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that cybersecurity information security analyst roles will grow 32% from 2023 to 2033 and recently cybersecurity job postings increased 12 % year over year.
